Welcome to the 4th annual STEMtoSpace event in celebration of the Space Force’s 4th anniversary. STEMtoSpace was designed to facilitate virtual connections between Space Force Guardians and K-12 classrooms to share the importance of STEM careers related to space as well as how the Space Force contributes to national security and daily life around the United States.

STEMtoSpace is celebrated the first three weeks of every December. Teachers and students can participate in STEMtoSpace in a variety of ways including

• 1:1 Guardian Classroom Connections
• Virtual Pre-Scheduled Live Presentations
• STEM Activities
• STEM Videos

1:1 Guardian Classroom Connections

For this opportunity, teacher will make a request to be paired with a Guardian from the Space Force. Starting late-October, teachers and Guardians will be sent an introductory email. Guardians will work with their assigned classrooms to choose a date and time that works with your schedule.

Discussion topics could include:

• mission of Space Force
• role of STEM in Space Force
• education and training needed for careers in the Space Force
• experiences that lead your Guardian to the Space Force
• and more!

Discussions should range from 20-35 minutes, based on your preference. Most experiences will be Online, but In-person meetings maybe available. In-person engagements should be within 30 miles of a Space Force Base (or select Air Force bases). If an in-person engagement event is not possible, you will be offered a virtual event.
